In-flight movies

I'm thrilled with the inflight entertainment options for my trip. Although I've seen about half of the films there's still a bunch of movies I've would like to watch, and several I'd be quite happy to see again.

Top of my list to see for the first time on the flights are:
  • Becomming Jane

  • Breaking and Entering

  • Miss Potter

  • Music and Lyrics

  • Hollywoodland

  • Ten Canoes

  • Kenny

  • The Good Shepherd

  • The Pursuit of Happyness

  • Night at the Museum

  • Blood Diamond

  • Man of the Year

  • Borat

  • The Painted Veil

  • Freedom Writers

In the full secltion there's no horror films or scifi, and pretty mild thrillers. I guess they can't have people screaming halfway through the flight when they get to a scary part.

Flying tomorrow?

I have received an email reminding me of my flight tomorrow to Washington DC. I can't believe I booked a flight for 21 April instead of 21 May. I'm trying to change it online but my details aren't being refreshed on the wesbite so I may have already changed it but I can't tell. Very frustrating. It was a cheap flight with their equivalent of Jetstar, so if I do lose some money it's not a lot. Hopefully the site will eventually tell me that I am now rebooked for May.

Last booking made

I've booked my LA accomodation, in Beverly Hills, so now I'm free to move on to booking more of the fun things.

I tried to book tickets to see Wicked! on Broadway but it's sold out until June!

I'm looking for a replacement show now. There's things like Mary Poppins and Tarzan that I'd like to see, but I think it would be like when I saw The Lion King and knew basically every line and joke in the book. I've seen The Producers, and movie versions of Chicago and Rent.

I'm think Les Mis might be the way to go. It's something I've wanted to see and haven't seen before

No toilets

All of my hotels are booked, except for LA. It looks very likely that I will be staying in Santa Monica but I want to compare some prices again before I lock a location in.

I got some more advice from Drew today including a pretty important point politeness point: In the US I shouldn't ask for directions to a toilet. They refer to the actual facility as the toilet so they'd think I was being very specific. I need to ask for "Men's Room" or the "Bathroom". I have a feeling I will slip up on this one!

Vegas booked

I've spent hours today trying to find a hotel in LA. I've spent less than an hour and found and booked my Vegas hotel. Much less choice makes it must easier.

Vegas hotel

Next up, Washington DC.
